Fun With NIKEiD: The Nike Kobe 11 All-Star Color Shift Is The Best Multicolor Option Yet

As one of the hosts of NBA All-Star Weekend, DeMar DeRozan had to show off his best for the big game. The Raptors swingman would deliver to the tune of 18 points and maybe the best kicks of the night, a new Nike Kobe 11 iD featuring the just released “Color Shift” option. DeRozan would turn heads as the multicolored upper of his kicks were maybe the best representative of the Northern Lights theme that the brands have been trying to emulate this entire weekend to mixed results.

Yeah, holy s**t, those are good. When leaks of a multicolor Nike Kobe 11 started making their way to the blogs weeks ago, I was disappointed by what turned out to be the Black History Month colorway and another version that looked too similar to other multicolor Flyknits of the past. This Color Shift option restored my faith and it even ties in nicely to Mamba’s last All-Star run, since DeRozan is the perfect player to ever lead a Kobe Brand down the line. You know, passing the torch and all that good stuff.

For this week’s edition of Fun With NIKEiD, we take a look at the three (that’s right, there are three “Color Shift” options at $245 a pop because one just wasn’t enough for our wallets) uppers that you can play around with to see which one is best suited for your tastes. Personally, I think DeRozan’s “Day” choice turned up quite nicely.
